*Project Overview:*

This job posting is specific to our project in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where we are responsible for renovating and operating the shipyard located on Quay 15 & 16. Our facilities here include a 200-foot floating dock and a 680-foot dry dock. We specialize in the repair and maintenance of various marine vessels, with a particular emphasis on careening, painting operations, metalwork, and the maintenance of propulsion units and auxiliaries.

*Job Summary:*

The Paint Foreman at IMM is responsible for overseeing all painting and surface preparation work on ships and yachts during refits and repairs. This includes surface preparation, priming, coating, and finishing of large marine vessels



*Key Responsibilities:*
* Supervise painting crews in the preparation and application of marine coatings and protective finishes.
* Ensure proper surface preparation, including sanding, blasting, and priming before painting.
* Oversee the application of specialized marine paints and coatings for corrosion protection.
* Maintain high-quality finishing standards for yacht and ship exteriors and interiors.
* Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations.
* Train and mentor painters to improve efficiency and workmanship.
* Monitor inventory and usage of painting materials and equipment.



*Requirements:*
* Minimum 5 years of experience in marine painting in the yachting industry
* Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques and marine coatings.
* Ability to operate spray guns and other painting equipment.
* Understanding of marine industry safety and environmental standards.
* Leadership experience in managing painting teams.



*Experience:*

A minimum of 5 years of experience in marine painting or auto body painting is required.
