Our Opening and Your Responsibilities The Marketing Database Specialist is responsible for data quality as well as data cleansing initiatives as related to the creation, maintenance and quality of customer and prospect data and will be the designated Master Data Management (MDM) Key User covering processes in both the current CRM and the future state SAP master data environment. This position will also be the Key User for Product Data Service tool (PDS), which will require a strong understanding of product configurations, PDS software and product knowledge. MDM Key User Responsibilities Leads data cleansing initiatives including review and correction of records as defined by established business rules to support the Blue Ocean implementation of SAP Prepare for and actively participate in regular update meetings with the MDM team Checks and approves account/contact creation or data change requests Leads data validation initiatives through tele-research or online research to ensure account and contact data fields are accurate and valid Understands local business and related data management needs Performs quality checks to ensure high quality master data Acts as the local Data Steward for the Eagle organization and adheres to global MDM (Master Data Management) standards accordingly Liaison between the business and the Data Governance team Supports roll-out of new guidelines and policies for Eagle May act as power user of data management tools and processes PDS Key User Responsibilities Maintenance of product information needed for marketing sales and marketing activities, including quotes created by our sales people Contribute to and provide services to enrich and distribute data within the Eagle business Content creation, as needed, with support from Eagle Product Management for products Load content to PDS database (through PDS tool / SAP MDM system tool) Make corrections, edit and adjust product descriptions, marketing descriptions and attributes within the data in PDS accordingly as per Eagle Product Management guidance Possible Other Duties Communicate with all Business Areas to enforce best practices in data control, governance and continued improvements for data cleansing Identify and propose process improvement opportunities to maintain a high level of data quality once live on SAP Assist in data migration for importing legacy data into SAP Point of contact for SAP Business Intelligence (BI) reporting for the Eagle business Reporting activities for sales and marketing Lead entry and distribution as needed What You Need to Succeed BA/BS in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or Supply Chain or related field.
