*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mesera/Mesero to join our team in a vibrant dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a passion for the food industry, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. As a Mesera/Mesero, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests while ensuring that all food safety and handling standards are met.
*Duties*
* Greet and seat guests promptly, presenting menus and explaining daily specials.
* Take accurate food and beverage orders using a POS system, ensuring all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff.
* Serve food and drinks in a timely manner while maintaining attention to detail and presentation standards.
* Handle cash register transactions, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations throughout the shift.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly.
* Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times.
* Assist with food preparation as needed during busy periods or special events.
* Demonstrate effective time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
*Experience*
* Previous experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
* Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
* Strong math skills for handling cash register transactions accurately.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling is essential.
* Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude towards guests and team members.
* Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
