Directs and coordinates production, quality, and material activities applying lean manufacturing techniques while ensuring that approved products are manufactured meeting quality, service, and cost standards and objectives. Directs the Business Unit activities ensuring the accomplishment of quality related aobjectives, and compliance with the "HCL" quality product certifications: Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Canadian Standards Association (CSA), and compliance with established Quality System as required by the International Standardization Organization (ISO) 9001-2015.Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the effective direction and supervision of Business Unit activities to achieve the established “HCL” goals of increase in employee’s productivity and training hours, machines hours, overall equipment efficiency (OEE), regrind and closed loops use, reduction of past due components, scrap reduction, and continued compliance with quality standards for improved customer satisfaction. Directs the development and/or improvement of manufacturing methods and processes through the application of lean manufacturing techniques. Continuously evaluates opportunities for reduction of current manufacturing space without jeopardizing the achievement of other “HCL” goals, including employee safetyThe Manager Molding position directs Business Unit programs regarding maintenance of “HCL” equipment and facilities, including preventive maintenance and maintenance contracts to prevent quality defects and optimize operating conditions. Responsible for the evaluation of process, machinery, and/or equipment problems affecting quality and the development/implementation of corrective actions. Directs the evaluation of new and/or changes in the material, process, tooling, and/or machinery and/or equipment to determine impact in the established Quality System. The Manager Molding position is responsible for ensuring that Business Unit personnel, at all levels, are properly trained in the manufacturing methods, Paulson training modules, quality policies, procedures, and practices, as set forth by the “HCL”, “ISO”, Quality System requirements, “CSA” certification, etc. Responsible for the development, upkeep, and custody of the aforementioned training quality recordsPlans and organizes all Business Unit activities to meet or exceed the HCI (“Platform”) Product and/or tooling Transfer Schedules. Coordinates the key activities which relates to these transfers, with Platform Manufacturing, Engineering, and Production Control functions.Education, Skills and Experience Bachelors degree in Business or Engineering.Five (5) to seven (7) years of managerial / supervisory manufacturing professional and technical experience.Good Spanish communication skills, written and verbal, are required.Personal computers hardware & applications knowledge is required. Bilingual, English/Spanish written, and verbal communication skills is highly desirable.Exposure to Quality Improvement Processes and/or Programs, i. e.
