General Summary of Responsibilities
Responsible and serves as the functional expert for all manufacturing related systems and tools
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Executes effective mold changes in support of manufacturing schedule.
Executes mold installation following applicable Rapid Tool Change (RTC) and SAFETY procedures.
Assures that all necessary secondary equipment is available, calibrated, and operational as required by set-up specifications.
Validates documentation for each mold updated, including:set-up procedure, mold water diagram, road map, electrical diagram, process parameters, and list of correct dryers, mold heaters, automatic inspection equipment, conveyors, robots and any special equipment required to run the mold. Informs his supervisor if practice is not aligned with documentation.
Owns and updates the Job Setup reporting current cycle time, activated cavities and numbers of operators on SAP system.
Documents Mold Inspection and Repair Record (MIRR) using clear and detailed problems description and deliver samples to tool room personnel to correct tooling related problems.
Documents and solve maintenance and/or facilities issue to support machine keeps running.
Must be available to support any plant based on company needs.
Executes the activities assigned from the Production Supervisor and/or Process Support Supervisor to maintain the quality and quantity of work produced in compliance with all applicable requirements, policies, and procedures.
Executes activities (related to molds) of plant shutdowns and start-ups
Reports daily at the end of SAP shift, the status of all molds that are running or scheduled to run.
Troubleshoots and assists in problem solving situations related to machinery and equipment.
Assists in the proper installation of all electrical wiring, hydraulic or pneumatic connections required for molds.
Performs preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment in accordance with established schedule assigned by the Process Support Supervisor
Maintains daily communication with Process Support Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Maintenance Team to identify and solve problems related to machinery and its secondary equipment
Capable to lifts molds with finger lift, cranes or other appropriate equipment and positions and secures it to holding device the appropriate safety procedures
Installs molds assuring molds are leveled and clamped. Installs water hoses to molds correctly as instructed. Sets up molds knockout bars to attain correct knockout movement. Adjusts machine’s safety bar
Education and Experience
Associate degree in a technical area or equivalent experience
Minimum of three (1) years of experience in a manufacturing environment in the Injection Molding Industry or equivalent education.
Formal training in SAP, GDP, GMP, ISO 13485, safety and quality.
Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Knowledge of injection molding process and related equipment.
