The MRO Engineer applies scientific principles to innovate, design, develop, and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, machines, tools, and systems to ensure compliance to specifications, requirements, and customer guarantees across applicable operating conditions. Ensures novel ideas and implementations are captured and protected using applicable IP processes and tools. Responsibilities: Direct involvement with product qualification testing, demonstrated proficiency in the RRCA process. Interface and collaborate cross functionally within the UTAS organization, involving quality, and supply chain in an efficient and productive way. Prepare and monitor process metrics and manage process improvements based on those metrics and program execution feedback. Support Lean transformation and ACE progression projects. Led Non Products, productivity and EH&S projects. Processing and disposition of Non-conforming Material (QN) Implement effective corrective actions to drive defect reduction Technical evaluation of units With No Fault Found conditions and failure conditions technicians cannot solve Develop a plan for Technicians development. Product disposition at the initial and final QA inspection Drawing interpretation for assemblers and technicians. Process Improvements / Capital Appropriations Standards settings for high runner in order to increase productivity. Support product Audits – Process evaluation and corrective actions. Perform and recommend CMM evaluations. Provide solution on daily repair issues. Equipment enhancements. Support requirements from the regulatory and control agencies Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electric, or Computer Engineering Basic Requirements: 3-5 years experience in Aerospace Industry Preferred experience in Mechanical or Electronic OE Proficient in computer systems - Microsoft Office Previous experience with Lean Manufacturing principles Nothing matters more to Collins Aerospace than our strong ethical and safety commitments.
