We are excited to announce that at this time we are looking for a Field based Nurse Educator to join our team of over 10,000 global field representatives in several regions making over 20 million product details annually for our pharmaceutical and biotech clients. Specialty Ambassador: Background: The Ambassadors have primary responsibility/accountability for providing appropriate product related training and support for patients. Ambassadors will serve as the link for each patient enrolling in AbbVie's HCV patient support program to better understand their disease and treatment, including, but not limited to adherence education. Each Ambassador may interact with enrolled patients by telephone, email, in HCP offices (in limited circumstances), in patient home settings, and/or in a public setting that would be conducive to education and protection of privacy. These interactions will be conducted in one on one, group and caregiver included educational forums, with patients deciding how and whether to participate. Job Duties: Each Ambassador is responsible to follow the program's written structure as outlined in the AbbVie document PD21-01-002 Practice Standards for Ambassadors and Ambassador's Program and PD21-01-001 Practice Standards for Advocates and Advocate's Programs as may be amended from time to time. The Ambassador will offer only AbbVie approved support, tools, resources and information to enrolled patients. Each Ambassador is responsible to follow the program's written structure as outlined by AbbVie. The Ambassador will offer only AbbVie approved services, tools, resources and information. The Ambassador will be responsible to assist in the development of HCV patient adherence programs that will focus on treatment on-boarding. All materials used for this program for any purpose will be approved through the divisional review and approval process (STAR). Additional Ambassador Duties: Assistance in the development of STAR-reviewed education plans covering a variety of topics, including: on boarding, service delivery, adherence and compliance education to encourage patient-doctor dialogue for patients Product related training and patient education about HCV and AbbVie's HCV Products for patients Provide approved product information for patients prescribed. Encourage dialogue between patients and their respective health care providers Support and respect treatment decisions made between the patient and healthcare provider Education to support prescribed therapy, such as proper –administration, disease state information, and side-effect management In-service education for HCP and office staff introducing the HCV Ambassador program. Recurring visits with HCP or office staff are not permitted. Protect the privacy of a patient's health information An Ambassador should always: (i) only utilized AbbVie-approved materials; (ii) provide product information and support that is within the product's FDA-approved labeling; (iii) refer to the patient's HCP as the patient's primary point of contact for all treatment issues or medical advice; and (iv) respect an HCP's instructions to the patient regarding the patient's product use. High-touch linkage with HCV compliance services Support physician peer-to-peer engagement opportunities about the Ambassador program by providing input to AbbVie concerning program content and/or by appearing as a speaker using STAR-approved content to introduce physicians to the HCV Ambassador Program and available resources Managing accounts and patients case-load in a large geography Management of assigned travel and commercial budgets within OPPF standards Any additional duties as assigned by program management and approved through the STAR team In performing these duties, an Ambassador may never provide medical advice or seek to replace a conversation with a patient's HCP. Ambassador Job Qualifications: Minimum: Bachelor's degree Preferred BSN and/or RN licensure Current nursing license in good standing 5 yrs. clinical experience in healthcare to include hospital, home health , pharmaceutical or biotech Nurse educator experience preferred HCV experience preferred Direct interaction with patient and support for persistence and compliance Knowledge of clinical data and pharmacology Demonstrated time management skills; planning and prioritization skills; ability to multi-task and maintain prioritization of key projects and deadlines Demonstrated effective presentation skills; ability to motivate others; excellent interpersonal (written and verbal) skills – with demonstrated effectiveness to work cross-functional and independently Demonstrated ability to work and drive for results and with enthusiasm Demonstrated ability to develop and execute plans in an independent environment Demonstrated ability to take initiative and vision: challenge existing assumptions and interpretations Demonstrated ability to build relationships with third parties using good negotiation skills Demonstrated ability to be adaptable to changing work environments and responsibilities Fully competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and iPad technology Flexibility to work weekends and evenings Willing to travel extensively (75-95%) Very strong time management skills Strong and effective presentation skills; excellent communications skills – both written and verbal Ability to work and drive for results in cross-functional teams Initiative and vision: challenge existing assumptions and interpretations Fully competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) IQVIA is an EEO Employer - Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/Disabled' We know that meaningful results require not only the right approach but also the right people.
