Responsibilities:
• Identify business requirements, requirements management, functional design, prototyping, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), testing, training, defining support procedures and supporting implementations.
• Build and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large companies.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing and effectively translate technical information into terminology understood by all levels.
• Ensure all assigned components fit into the overall architecture/design of Oracle BI solutions
• Work with client in an effort to design appropriate Oracle BI solution
• Provide task and resource estimate input into project plans as directed
• Lead and mentor small project sub-teams as directed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for OBIEE solution integration
• Define and recommend BI standards, processes and technologies
Required Skills:
• Hands-on experience working on at least 1 full life-cycle implementation of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (earlier called Siebel Analytics, abbreviated ""OBI EE”)
• 2+ years Experience with any 3 of the following:
• Creating and modifying Intelligence Dashboards and Guided Navigation Links within Intelligence Dashboards
• Using OBI EE Delivers to configure, schedule, and deliver Personalized Alerts to Intelligence Dashboards via Intelligence Agents (iBots)
• Performing administration tasks related to the development and configuration of Intelligence Dashboards
• Customizing the OBI EE web user interface
• Implementing and extending OBI Applications, such as Financial Analytics, Supply Chain Analytics, etc.
• Creating, modifying and filtering requests, and format results in OBI EE Answers
• Administration of OBI EE and the OBI EE Web Catalog
• Data modeling, customization, and administration of the OBIEE business layer repository
• Experience leading small to mid-size teams (2 to 8 direct reports)
Preferred Skills:
• An advanced degree in Computer Science or a related area
• Implementing Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA) analytic modules leveraging sources, such as Oracle e-Business Suite, Peoplesoft, or JD Edwards.
• SQL query and performance tuning, particularly within very large (500 GB+) databases
• Ability to work independently, manage small engagements or parts of large engagements.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
• Willingness to mentor junior staff
