Assure a quality product in compliance with established schedule and all internal and external regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications (cSOP's) and directs setup and adjustments of machines. Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Schedule material usage with other areas (Material Department, Warehouse). Assist in trouble shoot and provide technical support to associates. Train new associates in policies and processes. Enforce company policies (cGMP's, cGDP's, SOP's) to workers and enforces safety regulations. interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. Fill out and assure that all the records are in compliance with company standards, such as: Line Clearance Record Production Retention Record. Fill out daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the manufacturing production cell area as required. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Maintains time and production records. Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials. Discusses with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. Performs activities of workers supervised. Able to work within minimum supervision. Should be able to work at any shift when its required. Should be able to work with many projects and handle multiple tasks at the same time. Implement changes to procedures. Team worked oriented. Additional tasks or working areas can be assigned based on business needs. Performs internal audits to areas of responsibility and document findings and suggestions to improve processes. Develop and implement projects (VIP) to reduce product cost. Request and order all materials required on a timely basis to ensure an efficient performance of the department. Able to work on special projects as assigned. Must be able to communicate effectively at all Plant Levels. Must be able to keep the work area in the cleanest and order conditions. Willing to travel. Willing to work extra hours, any shift or Holidays (e.g. shutdowns, extraordinary events). SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises all assemblers, material handlers, and group leaders in the Manufacturing Cell Area. Responsible to each employee under his/her supervision, comply with all the trainings required by the company. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE (B.S.) Sciences or Engineering, Chemical Engineering preferred, one year minimum related experience in Supervision field of industrial companies; computer knowledge, extraordinary supervisory skills. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectivity before groups of employees, managers and internal or external audits. Fully bilingual (English and Spanish languages). MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATEONS, EXAMS cGMP's Training, and other exams, certificates or licenses that the immediate supervisor refers. COMPANY REGULATORY COMPLIANCE Observe and promote company security, industrial hygiene, cGMP's, procedures and other security measures already established by the company; should inform any violation PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme cold. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to highs precarious places; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. SAFETY EQUIPMENT and/or EQUIPMENT The employee is required to use the appropriate Safety Equipment that Baxter requires to comply with all Safety and Security rules (in Regulated Areas), such as: safety glasses, safety shoes, uniform, special safety suit, gloves, and any other equipment necessary in order to protect the health and safety of the incumbent.
