JOB TITLE: Health Technician, for the second shift (5:00pm to 2:00am) DEPARTMENT: Human Resources JOB SUMMARY The Health Technician will be responsible of the services of the Medical Dispensary during the night shift. Provides support to all Medical Dispensary Programs, including the Wellness Program. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS File medical record documents. Maintain the supply of medicines in the first aid kits and medical dispensary. Scan and file documents in the electronic medical record. Support the Occupational Physician in ergonomics evaluations and evaluations of occupational cases. Support the Generalist Physician in the Health Clinic. Collaborate in the planning, promotion and execution of Wellness activities. Tabulate the results of the Health Clinics and the participation of the associates in the different Wellness activities and dispensary services. Perform monthly inspection of medical equipment. Evaluate associates' requests to return to work (release) complying with company regulations. Provide first aid assistance and complete the post-incident nursing report. Attend and manage non-occupational medical emergencies. Assist associates when requesting medications, vital signs check-up and guidance on dispensary services. Tabulate the audits of the Visual Correction Program and support the coordination of the visual exams. Collaborate with the Ergonomic Program in the tabulation of the audits carried out in the manufacturing areas. Follow up in the completion of the ergonomic exercises in the areas. Refer to the Occupational Nurse the medical leave request related to reasonable accommodation or allegations of occupational medical conditions. Support Occupational Nurse and the EHS team in the investigation of incidents and / or occupational accidents. Support the Occupational Nurse in the development and implementation of new Wellness programs. Provide support to the Human Resources Department as necessary. Active participation in activities offered in the Dispensary POSITION QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of computer systems (Microsoft Office) Knowledge in Electronic Medical Record Good oral/written communication skills in both English and Spanish Able to work with minimum supervision Dynamic and self-starter Able to work overtime and weekends, if necessary Good communication skills to work in a teamwork environment Able to contribute to multifunctional teams Highly motivated, responsible and teamwork oriented WORK ENVIRONMENT Generally, works in a closed environment, in office conditions, with normal level of noise and controllable changes of temperature Needs to stand, walk and may be seated for a long period of time Uses hands to feel, finger or handle and reach Constantly works with personal computer to prepare documents or reports EDUCATION Minimum two (2) years of experience in the field of Occupational Health Knowledge in emergency medical management EXPERIENCE Bachelor Degree in Nursing Nursing Registration is required '233082 SDL2017
