Michelle Wenitsky Interior Design is recruiting for an Office Assistant.
Under the supervision of the owner this position provides administrative and bookkeeping support for the company.
In addition to data entry, bookkeeping, filing and scheduling, performs duties such as running errands, light lifting (boxes and small furniture), obtaining supplies, and working on special projects.
Deals with a diverse group of important external callers and visitors as well as internal clients.

Essential Functions

1.Responsible for all administrative tasks in the office including but not limited to, daily reports, accounts receivable entries and postings, and preparing accounts payable for bookkeeper.

2.Keeps office organized.
Maintains office supplies and orders as needed.

3.Maintains and updates filing system.
Retrieves information from files when needed.

4.Maintains communication with vendors by checking stock, placing and tracking orders, and coordinating shipment.

5.Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information and calls.

6.Answers phones for company.
Takes messages or fields/answers all routine and non-routine questions.

7.Composes general correspondences, memos, etc.
Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar and layout, making appropriate changes.
Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy.

8.Coordinates some travel for designers.

Education & Experience

1.High school diploma.

2.2-3 years of administrative experience and bookkeeping experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1.MS Office


3.Must have impeccable communication skills

4.Must be organized and focused

5.Must be detail-oriented in this fast-paced environment

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional upscale office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier/scanner and filing cabinets.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Position will start as part-time at 32 hours per week and could potentially grow to 40 hours a week.
Part-time candidates should be willing to grow into full-time work.


Our ideal candidate lives within 5-10 miles of our office in Villanova.

Some local travel (running errands) is required for this position.
