Job Description HPC/ERC: Opening: On-Site Supervisor – Puerto Rico & U.S Virgin Islands Location: Puerto Rico & U.S Virgin Islands Pay Rate: $TBD Days : TBD Hours: TBD Minimum Requirements : Five (5) years of experience as an on-site stationary engineer or equivalent with experience Supervising eight (5) or more skilled workers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians Hire and supervise tradesman during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.) Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.) Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance Monitor inventory of materials and equipment Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations) Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations Minimum Qualification: Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar role Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating, etc.) Knowledge of health and safety practices & regulation Understanding of budgeting and performance management. Excellent planning and leadership abilities. An eye for details Excellent communication and interpretation skills Good ability to read, comprehend, and work from electrical and electronic blueprints. Ability to understand verbal & written instructions in English including, but not limited to the ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals, instruction sheets, technical data, work orders, training manuals, and other verbal/computer based training. Working know-how in using typical Microsoft Office business software programs like Word, Excel etc. Operates and maintains HVAC systems, electrical systems, mechanical systems, refrigeration systems, fire protection systems, toxic gas detection systems, combustible gas detection systems, and pneumatic control systems in a facility of the similar size and complexity as the EPA NVFEL.
