Plenitud is a 501c3 nonprofit organization serving individuals and communities by sharing knowledge for a sustainable and harmonious life from our teaching center in the peaceful rural town of Las Marias, PR. Plenitud has been a leader in offering environmental educational services to farmers, students, and others since 2010. Our organization's focus on resilience left us well poised to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. We are still working to meet demand for long-term solutions like rainwater harvesting systems, agroecological farming, construction of emergency shelters, and school gardens. At the heart of our service is experiential learning in sustainability, nature, and the arts that engages people in community service and fosters relationships & connection. The Operational Development Coordinator will be in charge of managing and updating the organization's Trailblazer database of contacts & donors. The VISTA will be responsible for learning the system and integrating & training the staff. This platform is used in fundraising, contact management, communications, donor relations, events, and volunteer recruitment. This VISTA will help to establish protocols and systems for donor communications and assist the BOD with bi-annual fundraising campaigns. This vista is tasked with evaluating and improving the coordination and efficiency of the organization, including the operations, logistics, calendarization of events, and more. This is especially important for planning and executing events and programs requiring complex interactions of staff, instructors, and volunteers. This position requires a creative, organized, self-directed candidate with good interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable working with a dynamic team on real grassroots-level service, and must be comfortable with computers, social media, and web-based technology and willing to learn new systems. Position runs for one year from July 22nd, 2019 until July 17th, 2020. Terms : Permits attendance at school during off hours , Car recommended , Permits working at another job during off hours .
