General Description
Receive, analyze and process legal requests received from government agencies (state and federal), attorneys, or other legal entities for Banco Popular de Puerto Rico and Popular Bank. Retrieves documents based on the legal request and complies with the delivery of documents and/or information to the requesting agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Processes the legal orders received (Levies, Garnishments, Citations, Court Orders). Places holds or disburses funds in accordance with the legal order, if necessary. Processes Payouts, Information Subpoenas, Court Orders and Verification of Deposits received. Prepares entries for fee charges and/or fund disbursements for approval. Notifies the customer(s) of actions taken on account(s), if necessary. Processes CAP (Accounts closed due to overdraft) Charge Offs. For Court Orders, determines which of the solicited information or documents can be provided by the company to government agencies, court and lawyers, before due date. Ensures that sensitive information is compiled in appropriate areas and submitted to the vendors for storage. Assists the management team with staff training. Handle customer service calls daily as required.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Education
Completed Bachelor's degree required. Juris Doctor degree, preferred.
Experience
A minimum of two years previous retail banking, banking operations or legal case handling experience is preferred.

•Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
•Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills (in both English and Spanish).
•High degree of commitment, and ability to adapt to new situations.
•Strong quantitative, research and analytical skills.
•Knowledge of the following programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
