Planner/Buyer

Planner/Buyer with experience in regulated industry to coordinate the material planning effectively and purchasing functions and ensuring timely delivery of components to production.

* Compares and verifies purchase orders against forecasted raw material, components and related requirements to ensure adequate supplies are ordered for production.
* Reviews and analyzes statistical data to determine buying trends/volumes and to establish price objectives and/or opportunities.
* Reviews comparison charts, proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality and delivery for nonstandard or larger than normal orders.
* Manage and maintain inventory.
* Inventories goods receives and identify discrepancies.
* Check schedule delivery dates and make contact with suppliers about late deliveries.
* Escalates issued and notifies appropriate personnel.
* Checks with warehouse and production regarding availability and movement of materials to detect shortages or overages.

Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and three (3) years of experience in related area
* Bilingual (Spanish/English - Spoken/Written)
* Computer literacy
* SAP
