Job Description The Process Safety Specialist will be responsible for implementing and managing the site's Process Safety standards, ensuring effective prevention of primary containment losses (LOPC) and minimizing their impact on safety, environment, and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities: Process Safety Information Management: Collect, organize, and maintain the Process Safety Information (PSI) necessary to identify and understand the risks associated with the materials and processes used in the plant.
Process Risk Analysis: Conduct risk analysis to identify potential hazards and propose mitigation measures.
Ensure that analyses are updated regularly and after any significant changes in the process.
Safe Operation: Develop and maintain safe operating procedures based on risk analysis and PSI.
Ensure the training and competence of workers in these practices.
Pre-Operational Safety Review (POSR): Conduct safety checks prior to operation to confirm that the process is ready to operate safely, especially after significant modifications.
Change Control and Management: Evaluate process changes to understand their impact on safety, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate standards.
Performance Indicators and Self-Verification: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of process safety management and implement a self-assessment program to identify and implement improvements.
Requirements Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Safety, or related field.
Solid experience in process safety management in industrial environments.
In-depth knowledge of process safety regulations and standards.
Leadership skills and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
