The *Process Safety Specialist *will be responsible for implementing and managing the site's Process Safety standards, ensuring effective prevention of primary containment losses (LOPC) and minimizing their impact on safety, environment, and business continuity.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* *Process Safety Information Management:* Collect, organize, and maintain the Process Safety Information (PSI) necessary to identify and understand the risks associated with the materials and processes used in the plant.
* *Process Risk Analysis:* Conduct risk analysis to identify potential hazards and propose mitigation measures. Ensure that analyses are updated regularly and after any significant changes in the process.
* *Safe Operation:* Develop and maintain safe operating procedures based on risk analysis and PSI. Ensure the training and competence of workers in these practices.
* *Pre-Operational Safety Review (POSR):* Conduct safety checks prior to operation to confirm that the process is ready to operate safely, especially after significant modifications.
* *Change Control and Management:* Evaluate process changes to understand their impact on safety, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate standards.
* *Performance Indicators and Self-Verification:* Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of process safety management and implement a self-assessment program to identify and implement improvements.
*Requirements*
* Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Safety, or related field.
* Solid experience in process safety management in industrial environments.
* In-depth knowledge of process safety regulations and standards.
* Leadership skills and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
