General Description
Join the Digital Banking and Payments Team as a Product Owner, where you will be responsible for the articulation and understanding of the product vision and lead roadmap definition in partnership with cross:functional teams such as technology, design, compliance, marketing and others. This individual will lead and guide the work of their squad.

Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for their squad that aligns with Popular's goals and customer needs. Continuously evaluate market trends and customer feedback to adjust the product strategy as needed.

Backlog Management: Create, refine, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the highest:value items for development. Define and communicate user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria to guide the development team.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, end:users, business leaders, and development teams, to gather and validate requirements. Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear communication and shared understanding.

Release Planning: Plan and prioritize product releases, determining which features and enhancements will be included in each release. Balance business objectives, technical constraints, and customers' needs to create a release schedule.

Sprint Execution: Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand:ups, sprint review, and sprint retrospective meetings. Clarify requirements and provide real:time feedback to the development team during sprints.

Acceptance and Validation: Accept or reject work completed by the development team, ensuring that it meets the defined acceptance criteria and user expectations. Verify that the product increment delivered aligns with the product vision.

Success Measurement: Monitor product performance and use data to drive informed decisions.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to the product, making informed decisions to optimize the development process. Adapt to changing circumstances and emerging issues while maintaining focus on the products goals.

Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the Scrum Master and other team members to improve the Agile process. Seek feedback from stakeholders and the development team to refine the product and development approach.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems or related fields.
Certifications / Licenses
No certifications or license are needed.
Experience
Three (3) years' related experience as Product Owner, with product management or similar role in software development projects in the financial industry.

Strong technical acumen: ability to put yourself in the shoes of customers, have a grasp of user experience and design with customers, business, and operations teams in mind. Robust with numbers, can ground your thinking in analysis, use data / key metrics to identify opportunities, deliver insights, test theories, and make data:driven recommendations to drive revenue growth and improve customer experience. Comfortable with complex systems, understanding common software architecture and data integration patterns. Know how to analyze and decompose a complex system and communicate that complexity simply and cleanly.
