*Knowledge & Skills:*
This position relies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. He/she must possesses a solid working knowledge of manufacturing operations and processes. Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership role in a process-oriented manufacturing operation. Must have a great degree of understanding on how to achieve an efficient and profitable operation.
A four-year degree or equivalent through experience in Operations Management, Engineering or any other in which he/she has gained significant coursework in manufacturing principles. Additional training or experience in at least one discipline such as; Lean Manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma, TQM, or JIT manufacturing is required.
*Nature & Scope:*
The Production Manager reports directly to the Owner. The position has major interactions with all levels of the organization. In addition to being fully accountable for production, the position will have significant interaction with sales, marketing, product development and financial functions to drive overall execution.
*Main Accountabilities:*
· Accountable for achieving the target Operating Margins.
· Implement and adjust short and long range planning, policies programs and objectives.
· Ensure that the manufacturing operation meets the agreed production and quality requirements with co-packing customers.
· Assist in the development, but responsible for the implementation of resource management in order to achieve objectives.
· Direct and monitor department and functional managers to accomplish the goals of the operations plan.
· Insure that all operation employees receive proper training and are informed of all communications, decisions, policies, and all other matters that will affect their performance, attitude and results.
· Direct and coordinate programs, in connection with QC, essential to manufacturing procedures, e.g., workplace and work safety, training, maintenance, continuous improvement, security, sustainability, and compliance to all federal, legal and ethical standards.
· Insure that company complies with all local, federal and internal standards, laws and procedures.
· Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that reflect the true performance of the operation and enables continuous improvement.
· Identify and develop talent within the workforce to meet the current and future needs of the operation.
· Take proactive corrective actions as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy.
· Assist in the preparation of budgets that meet operational goals and provides for effective management of resources.
· Participates on cross functional team with sales/marketing, product development, administration, and overall business coordination/execution and business model development.
· Prepare reports as necessary or requested to show performance to plans.
· Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.

This is a normal manufacturing environment, with normal hazards associated with metal working equipment. The position requires occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs, and minimal travel required.
