Production Supervisor (2000696) – Manati, PR
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to be responsible for directing and supervising the overall production operation of the DG Formulations, ensuring that production rates are achieved, meeting all requirements for high product quality, cross contamination avoidance (including microbiological contamination prevention), environmental protection, process safety and industrial hygiene. You will also contribute your hazardous waste materials handling license/certification.
Proficiency in both English/Spanish (reading, writing and speaking) is a requirement for this role.

Formula for Success
Relying on your solid organizational skills, you will meet the production schedule and verify that raw material inventories are adequate to meet production demands.
Your unwavering commitment to compliance will be evident as you will be responsible for the compliance with the standards of the following company programs (including compliance with site KPIs): Safety, Environmental Production, Process Safety, Cross Contamination Avoidance (including microbiological contamination prevention) and Industrial Hygiene Programs in the department.
Your experience in chemical/formulations processes will be essential as you implement and comply with quality standards, operational procedures and for the quality and quantity of products and services in the areas under your control (Formulation Areas).
Your strong written and verbal communication skills will serve you well as you provide support during start up activities to implement process changes and process optimization.
Applying your experience in a similar supervisory position and your labor laws knowledge, you will ensure that the different Human Resources policies (Vacation, Absenteeism, and Disciplinary Actions) are followed by all department personnel.
Leveraging your education and experience in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, as well as your technical knowledge of general engineering concepts, you will be responsible for achieving production targets through daily coordination with different production and support teams (Laboratory, Maintenance, Utilities and Warehouse).
Utilizing your robust analytical and problem-solving skills, you will identify and recommend priorities for capital investments in the Formulation Areas. You will also use these skills to monitor production efficiencies of formulation processes and provide technical support as required (troubleshooting, etc.).
Demonstrating your operational computer knowledge/experience, you will identify, evaluate, and coordinate maintenance jobs to perform them per production schedules.
