Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Program Coordinator to oversee the execution of multiple-related construction projects to upgrad e and expand existing facilities in Puerto Rico.
Acting as the client representative, this role will ensure project execution aligns with contract requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations while delivering on schedule and within budget.
The Program Coordinator will oversee multiple sites , ( each led by a S ite Manager ) , to provide direct leadership to Site Managers, Construction Managers, Safety Officers, Schedulers/Procore SMEs, and QA/QC.
Key Responsibilities: Project Oversight & Execution: Act as the primary liaison for the client, ensuring alignment with project objectives and contractual requirements .
Provide strategic oversight for all construction projects to guarantee consistency in execution, compliance, and reporting .
Lead the coordination and integration of project activities across both site groups, collaborating closely with Supervising Managers .
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives by proactively identifying and addressing issues .
Review and approve project schedules, cost estimates, and progress reports.
Stakeholder & Team Management: Act as the key liaison between the client and project teams, facilitating clear communication of project expectations and requirements.
M anage and support site-level teams, including Site Managers, Construction Managers, Safety Officers, Schedulers/Procore Subject Matter Experts, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Inspectors.
Promote collaboration among project sites to encourage best practices and efficient resource utilization .
Report on project performance, risks, and proposed solutions to senior internal and client leadership.
Construction Management & Compliance: Oversee contractor performance to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor quality control and assurance to confirm construction aligns with approved designs and industry standards.
Collaborate with site Safety Officers to enforce safety policies and procedures, striving for a zero-incident work environment.
Lead the review and approval of change orders, ensuring proper management of project scope and costs.
Employ Procore and other project management tools to track progress and maintain documentation.
Budget & Schedule Management: Maintain close oversight of project budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities while preserving quality.
Ensure that all sites comply with the master project schedule, addressing delays and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Deliver accurate financial reports and updates on project progress.
Qualifications & Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering , Construction Management , or related field.
Experience : 10+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
Skills: Demonstrated success in overseeing multiple concurrent construction projects in the role of client representative.
Proficient in using Procore, Primavera P6, or similar construction management software.
In-depth understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, quality assurance/quality control processes, and safety regulations.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Proven ability to manage complex budgets and schedules while ensuring strict adherence to contract requirements.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental permitting processes is an added advantage.
Certifications: Required: Valid driver's license.
Preferred: Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Management Professional (PMP).
Language : Proficiency in both English and Spanish is mandatory.
Working Conditions: ? Full-time position, with travel to project sites as required .
The position may involve working in office and field environments, with a focus on construction sites.
Ability to work on-site and in potentially challenging outdoor conditions during installation and construction phases.
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; make repetitive hand movement and fine coordination in the performance of daily duties; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
