Job Description

SUMMARY:
Accountable to handle & coordinate the safe and compliant execution of capital projects from feasibility phase to project handover to operations;

Coordinate & assess quality of project deliverables in accordance with the project scope of work
Will report to the business unit Sr Project Manager
May lead direct reports
May act as Engagement Manager to coordinate / assess the quality and compliance of overall project deliverables executed by vendors, service providers and / or project based workers

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Accountable for management of all aspects of projects:planning, implementation, monitoring and completion
Support project funding process (ILM) and alignment with sponsor goals
Handle challenging timelines and prioritize critical tasks
Establish and achieves project standards for work quality and quantity
Drive alignment of Commissioning and Qualification requirements with Engineering and Construction
Ensure adherence to engineering specifications
Assess project issues and develop solutions to meet scientific, efficiency, quality and client happiness goals
Assist in technical, financial, and interpersonal issues
Coordinate and track project budget(s)
Reconcile the use of resources for the projects to align with requirements
Identify and anticipate schedule slips or changes and analyzes the costs and resource impact
Implement tools, techniques and processes to provide or create information to enable informed decision making
Ensure the project goals and objects are well understood by the various functional areas
Liaison with department staff, sub or satellite team leaders and members to obtain their continued input and feedback
Lead all aspects of the master project plan and schedule for assigned projects
Recommend and develop operational or process improvements
Provide department management with project management support on an as needed basis
Identify or lead focus area projects within the overall function of project management or related projects
Generate periodic updates and prepare formal presentations for required forums
To accomplish domestic (may also involve international) regulatory requirements
Ensure project work aligns with practices, policies and standard operating procedures
Participate in required meetings, activities, and related projects and meaningful interdepartmental activities
Anticipate resource needs and communicate to management sponsors

Basic education & experience:
Doctorate degree

Or

Master’s degree and 2 years of project management experience in GMP regulated industry.

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of project management experience in GMP regulated industry.

Preferred qualifications:
Skills in balancing multiple responsibilities, priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously
Skills in working under time pressure, in a team matrix environment
Practical project management software and spreadsheet skills, proficient computer operation skills
Effective interactions with the team or matrixes environment
