Overview: Following hurricane Maria, the island of Puerto Rico has begun the process of recovering from significant storm damage by working through FEMA's Public Assistance program. GP Strategies' expertise in the Public Assistance program allows our contracted municipalities to work more efficiently and effectively with FEMA. Utilizing subcontractors as a force-multiplier, GP Strategies strives to exceed the expectations of the municipalities through world-class program management. Job Summary: These team are supporting multiple Puerto Rican municipalities as they work through FEMA's Public Assistance Program to gain disaster recovery funding. We have 3 positions open supporting different regions throughout the country. Program Manager Responsibilities Report directly to the GP Strategies Puerto Rico Recovery Program Manager Manages multiple subcontractor teams within their assigned region Broadly communicates all staffing levels, finances, run rates, etc… to effectively manage the multiple contracts within their assigned region Search out business development opportunities for Operational Readiness and Operational Excellence initiatives Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization Creating and managing long-term goals Developing a budget and operating plan for the program Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement Managing a teams with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle Analyzing program risks Program Manager Requirements Bachelor degree Proven experience in program management Proven stakeholder management skills Proven experience managing a team Experience using computers for a variety of tasks Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook Preferred Qualifications FEMA Public Assistance Experience Finance, Construction and/or Real Estate Experience Required Travel: This position will be located in one of three regions within Puerto Rico Candidate will be required to relocate to/reside in Puerto Rico during the length of the contract GP Strategies is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
