JOB DESCRIPTION:
Purchasing Clerk.
Position Summary:
The Purchasing Clerk will serve as the PRLAO requisitioner being responsible for the origination, accuracy, and execution of all requests for purchases submitted to the procurement team. She/he will coordinate the purchase of goods and services according to departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Obtains requirements from internal business units to prepare formal requisition requests and facilitates the approval.
Creates, submit and track requisitions on Zycus vendor management system.
Evaluates required documentation from vendors and follow up on pending documents with requestors.
Works closely with requestors to ensure PO’s are accurate.
Coordinates receipt of goods or services in ZYCUS with requesting unit for payment processing.
Creates and maintains domestic and international vendors for the PRLAO office in the Zycus vendor management system.
Communicates with foreign vendors and follows up to complete documentation and the electronic form in the Glacier Platform.
Works with the procurement team to follow up on requisitions in Zycus.
Monitors and evaluate purchase order claims and ensure compliance with CB policies.
Assists with purchasing contracts and associate procedures and policies.
Works with accounts payable to resolve issues.,
Keeps requisition information accessible in Zycus.
Provides routine administrative support to the Finance team.
Performs other duties as requested by the manager.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Minimum of 2-3 years of related work experience, preferably in purchasing or accounting.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent communication skills both oral and written, in English and Spanish.
Intermediate to advance knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
