Company Overview

Our client, a leader in the cleaning service industry in Puerto Rico, is looking for a Purchasing & Logistics Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading company in your industry.

Job Summary

Responsible for the execution of the procedures for the acquisition of materials and equipment required by the company, studying and analyzing quotes and budgets, complying with the established procedures; in order to obtain the requested goods in the best conditions of prices, quality and opportunity. Supervise the daily operations of the warehouse and the logistics of supply of materials.

Responsibilities and Duties

Receive, study and analyze quotes and budgets according to requisitions.
Receive and verify requisitions, purchase and service orders and their corresponding annexes.
Verify the budget availability for making purchases.
Process purchase orders, payment to suppliers and complaints to companies.
Attend to suppliers, customs agents and officials related to purchases.
Responsible because the acquired goods are insured and in good condition.
Participate in operational planning meetings.
Review and deliver the documents to the customs agent.
Make and distribute minor purchases.
Maintain control of the file of suppliers, purchase orders and quotes received.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor of Materials and Logistics Management or related area.
Five (5) years of experience in purchasing and warehouse supervision, management experience in the cleaning industry preferred.
Knowledge of Sage Program.
Knowledge of imports and exports.
Knowledge in the documentation required by Customs.
Vast knowledge of the purchasing process.
Knowledge of warehouse tasks.
Inventory knowledge.
Computer skills:Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Must be Bilingual (Spanish & English)
