Ethicon LLC, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting a QA Technician at the facility located in San Lorenzo, PR.
The Ethicon Surgical Care business offers a broad range of products, platforms and technologies—including sutures, surgical staplers, clip appliers, trocars and synthetic mesh devices—that are used in a wide variety of minimally invasive and open surgical procedures. Specialties include support for treatment of colorectal and thoracic conditions, women’s health conditions, hernias, cancer and obesity. The QA Technician will:
- Maintain high Quality Standards for Product Quality Control and operations compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine physical inspection to in process, and finished goods samples as needed.
- Perform product and process audits and visual and dimensional inspections according to the specifications following QSR's and written procedures.
- Notify any product or process non-conformance, and escalate as appropriate.
- Inspect tests and/or evaluate the precision and accuracy of products, production equipment, and/or testing equipment.
- Segregate and inspect Finished Goods samples and Retain Samples according to the requirements. Deliver samples to Finished Goods QA Lab.
- Perform data analysis and execute final disposition of the material.
- Perform batch records review accordingly with compliance requirements and complete record retention process. Use of Statistical Process Control knowledge to make product disposition decisions.
- Maintain knowledge of all procedures, change to specifications and new regulations related to their areas of responsibility.
- Evaluate and approve control and disposition of material to determine if it is according to the requirements and Quality System Regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma and one (1) year of experience in a regulate industry is required; or Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or Science field.
- One (1) year of Quality Assurance experience is preferred.
- Basic Knowledge of computers, including MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- Knowledge of QSR's and ISO Standards is preferred.
- Must be proficient in the Spanish language. Basic English communication skills are required.
- Availability to work a 3rd Shift is required.
- Associate is regularly required to stand; walk; occasionally required to crouch or kneel. Regularly works with Hand Tools and with a keyboard several times during the day.
