Safety Officer

*Job Summary*
We're looking for a Safety Officer to join our team and help ensure a safe workplace. You'll lead safety programs, train employees, and stay up to date with OSHA and environmental regulations. Your work will be key in preventing accidents and creating a strong safety culture.

*Responsibilities*
* Create and maintain safety policies and procedures.
* Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards.
* Train employees on safety, emergency response, and accident prevention.
* Investigate accidents, write reports, and recommend solutions.
* Maintain accurate safety records.
* Maintain SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan).
* Stay current on OSHA and EPA regulations.
* Help create new training materials for safety.

*Requirements*
* Experience in safety work in construction or manufacturing.
* Good knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.
* HAZWOPER certification is highly desirable.
* Strong communication and report-writing skills.
* Ability to find practical solutions to safety challenges.
* Detail-oriented and committed to workplace safety.
* Ability to travel to other jobsites as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.33 - $17.77 per hour

Expected hours: 40.00 per week
