Safety Officer

*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating workplace hazards.

*Duties*
* Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards.
* Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Provide training and development programs for employees on safety practices, including First Aid, CPR, and emergency response protocols.
* Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, investigations, and compliance audits.
* Collaborate with management to develop strategies for occupational health and workers' compensation claims management.
* Conduct root cause analysis of accidents or near misses to prevent future occurrences.
* Stay informed about changes in EPA regulations and workers' compensation law to ensure organizational compliance.
* Promote a culture of safety within the organization through effective communication and engagement with employees.

*Qualifications*
* Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in a relevant industry.
* Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, occupational health standards, and environmental protection guidelines.
* Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
* Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
* Experience in training development related to workplace safety practices.
* Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and root cause analysis methodologies.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams while fostering a safe work environment.

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
