Position Description:
CGI is seeking talented Scrum Masters in our Puerto Rico office to join our dynamic team. You will be instrumental in helping the CGI team deliver exceptional quality service to our clients. Your attention to detail and positive attitude will be highly valued in this high profile position. Your future duties and responsibilities:
The Scrum master will be a servant-leader and team level agile coach for key strategic applications used in disaster recovery efforts
Responsible for facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and team retrospective meetings.
Interface and communicate with product owner(s), scaled agile project teams, and stakeholders; assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
Ensure impediments are removed or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
Manage User Stories in Jira, ensure team compliance with Jira usage and standards.
Monitor, track, and report team status and health.
Flexible to corporate practices and customized scaled agile framework.
Supporting Release Train Engineer planning across teams for a single value stream
Coaching teams on the basics of Scrum and applying Kanban visualizations and metrics (as needed).
Focusing teams to deliver value quickly
Fostering a motivating culture of openness, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Coordinating across other Agile teams for complex projects
Leveraging data to measuring & monitoring progress against commitments
Experience with Kanban, Lean Adaptive Systems, Dev Ops Culture, Extreme Programming practices (ATDD, Swarming, Design-Driven Development, pair programming etc.)
Experience managing projects and/or system integrations that are somewhat complex
Experience working independently in a fast-paced, unstructured environment

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Minimum of 3 years of IT specific experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, or IT Manager where you successfully implemented new technology, work processes, and/or process improvements
Minimum of 3 years of IT specific experience related to analysis, architecture, development, testing, project management, or equivalent experience acquired by serving as a key business SME on IT projects
Minimum of 6 years of business and/or information technology related work experience.
Effective knowledge and application of agile team leadership competencies, including oral and written communications, influence and persuasion, results orientation, relationship management, facilitation, and team building
Experience with Agile project management tools; Rally, JIRA, etc. Agile DevOps experience preferred.
Working knowledge of SDLC, Project Management and execution, cloud-based application development
Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team
Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics
Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
