Security Systems Installer

*Job Overview*

Automatic Equipment Inc. is seeking a dependable and technically skilled *Security Systems Installer* to install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot security equipment at customer locations. This role supports reliable system performance while providing professional service and following required safety procedures.

*Key Responsibilities*

* Install security systems, cameras, sensors, control panels, access control equipment, and related components.
* Install and connect low-voltage wiring according to system specifications.
* Read wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and installation instructions.
* Test and configure security systems to verify proper operation.
* Troubleshoot wiring, sensors, cameras, communication, and equipment issues.
* Perform service calls, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and system replacements.
* Use hand tools, power tools, testing meters, and installation equipment safely.
* Explain basic system operation and features to customers.
* Complete installation reports, service records, and required documentation.
* Maintain tools, equipment, parts, and installation supplies.
* Protect customer property and leave work areas clean and organized.
* Follow company procedures, applicable low-voltage requirements, and workplace safety standards.
* Communicate equipment issues, project updates, and service needs to supervisors.

*Qualifications*

* Previous experience with security systems, alarm systems, CCTV, access control, or low-voltage installation preferred.
* Basic understanding of electrical and low-voltage wiring.
* Ability to read technical diagrams and equipment documentation.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
* Professional communication and customer service skills.
* Dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
* Ability to climb ladders and lift or carry equipment as required.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
