This strategic repositioning is part of the global changes in the lighting market in favor of SSL (solid-state lighting). This technological change creates growing demand for SLS' core business of energy-efficiency lighting upgrade projects, which include: Audit/survey activities; Design, project development and modeling services; Integrated lighting controls solutions; Rebate and Incentive optimization; Product sourcing, delivery and procurement; Turnkey installation, Project Management and commissioning services Measurement & verification; Warranty administration; Maintenance services. THE OPPORTUNITY This Senior Sales position will sell energy efficient lighting upgrade and energy solutions to new accounts. The ideal candidate will be a proven performer with experience in project based major account sales and project team management in business-to-business environments, with experience in identifying and qualifying opportunities for projects in multiple vertical markets. This is a self-motivated, proactive and creative sales professional with a proven track record to plan will execute negotiations and close contracts. Must have the ability to grasp new business models, advanced technologies, and ideas rapidly to make immediate impact. This person will seek new opportunities to engage new clients in understanding the value of our integrated services and solutions. This is a performance-based position with a lucrative compensation package to reward strategic sales development and "closing the deal." SLS is a market leader for energy efficient lighting upgrades in North America, and experiencing significant growth. Primary Responsibilities: Identify, qualify, and close sales through high activity qualifying activity, account planning and opportunity management; Employ a "solutions" based selling approach; Create and demonstrate financial value for clients; Reach and exceed established quarterly and annual sales targets; Sell the full spectrum of SLS portfolio including lighting and lighting controls and value-added-services to include funding alternatives; Sell at all levels of the client's organization, particularly in the "C" suite; Maintain an in-depth knowledge of client motivation factors and Key Performance Indicators; Develop and sustain competitive knowledge on industry channels; Demonstrate and communicate financial value "ROI" to clients. Attributes for Success Must be a true "hunter" for new accounts; 8 – 10 years of proven experience with solution selling at the C-level; Experience in identifying, qualifying and closing opportunities for energy savings projects in specific vertical market sectors; Team player with experience as an effective leader of an integrated team; Ability to manage and drive sales with a track record of successful revenue attainment; Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and presentation skills; Strong financial acumen and analytical mindset; Entrepreneurial, self-motivated and resourceful personality. Travel requirement: Significant travel required both local and overnight Technical knowledge: Lighting and building systems preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree required SDL2017
