Accountable for executing, coordinating and providing cost accounting support to the manufacturing areas. This position must comply with all Security guidelines, Environmental Health and Safety regulations and the current Good Manufacturing Practices required by the job function. Responsibilities: Prepares and analyzes the Manufacturing Budget and Projections throughout the year Reviews the master recipe, operational spending, headcount and capacity calculation and schedules presentations Calculates absorption impact Calculates yields and maintains the reports up to date Analyzes monthly cost variances Discusses volume, efficiency, spending, reworks, start-up and other manufacturing variances with management. Discusses volume, efficiency, spending and other variances with manufacturing management. Performs the analysis and reporting of clinical lots Participates actively in the manufacturing areas’ meetings and prepares financial results package for discussion at their forums. Assists and supports the Manufacturing Areas and Production Planning with the calculation of financial and headcount impact of the Production Plan. Assists and supports Operational Excellence area with the calculation of financial impact on opportunities identified in the continuous improvement process. Develops estimated standard cost for new products or changes in current processes. Prepares and distributes the Open Production Orders Report. Calculates impact of productivity/efficiency initiatives. Completes the account verification analysis for the assigned GL accounts. Maintains internal control procedures as well as ensure compliance with SOX. Performs special analyses and participates in special projects as deemed necessary. Serves as back-up for the Fixed Assets and Inventory role as required. Knowledge/Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance Five (5) years of Cost Accounting experience in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Environment Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate and explain at all levels financial matters to non Finance parties Leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills Ability to influence others, teamwork and customer oriented Must be fully bilingual (Spanish/English) oral and written communication Proficient in systems (SAP, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) Willing to work irregular hours, weekends and holidays, when necessary
