Accountable for leading and supporting the strategic sourcing process, to identify the best option for the purchasing aspects and customer bids. This position is also responsible to manage the sourcing deals, negotiations, contracts and all added value activities for the Manati negotiations and bidding process for capital projects, MRO and services and others as required, always in compliance with Corporate Policies and Directives. This position must comply with all Security guidelines, Environmental, Health and Safety regulations, and the current Good Manufacturing Practices required by the job function. Provides internal and market analytics to support development of strategic category plans; collaborate with category leaders and business partners on plan development; may also independently lead strategic category planning for selected categories Leads and supports execution of procurement plans. Role is dependent on category and project complexity. Leads in identification and screening/selection of potential sources. Provides guidance in determining appropriate methods of procurement. Leads the preparation of competitive go-to-market events (solicitation of bids, quotations and proposals) with pertinent specifications, terms and conditions. Employ leading practices in compliance with BMS policies and directives. Prepares and leads supplier negotiations depending on category complexity. Evaluates competitive offerings and recommend overall best offer for a product or service. As part of implementation, review product availability and/or pricing information with suppliers. Leads the preparation of and/or issue contracts (or large purchase orders) for legal review and approval Supports design/development of procurement compliance programs. Support decision-making and process design to align practices with organizational objectives and sourcing strategies. Maintains agreement files in compliance with all GP Policies and Directives at all time, Audit readiness sense. Understand how to access and influence specifications as required in category. Supports SRM process through required development and delivery of prioritized performance metrics- Supports risk management efforts as required in category. Collaborates with/supports Procurement category owners on strategy development and leads/supports procurement execution. Builds understanding of BMS's global, end-to-end value chain, as it relates to the category/categories in focus. Provides strategic industry insights, and identifies potential opportunities to improve total cost of ownership, including revenue enhancement, speed-to-market, mitigated risk/improved lifecycle management, and other opportunities that to BMS competitive advantage. Strives to make positive impact on the organization, short and long term. Provides sound leadership to Supplier Relationship Management processes and procedures: supplier and category segmentation, metrics/KPI development and application, scorecard format, contract management, etc Facilitates continuous improvement and supplier-enabled innovation and enables the Head of Sourcing/Sourcing Managers to achieve strategic objectives, through Supplier Relationship Management programs. Position Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Science or Engineering At least five (5) years of working experience with a minimum of two (2) years within a procurement function. In depth knowledge in Procurement processes, agreement management, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier analysis, supplier diversity supplier management and technology utilization Strong Analytical Skills Experience leading/influencing individuals or teams Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel • Proved ability to manage multiple projects/tasks effectively Computer literacy, knowledge in SAP (purchasing modules) or computerized purchasing systems. Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English and Spanish.
