General Description 13;
Responsible for managing fair lending and/or Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP) compliance reviews, designed to assess the effectiveness of the regulatory compliance programs with respect to fair lending and UDAAP, as well as business line controls for adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and guidance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 13;
Directly supervise a team of assistant compliance officers in the Fair Lending Reviews Unit and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
Review work program, testing and final report performed by the assistant compliance officers.
Collaborate in the creation of monthly and quarterly management reports.
Participate in developing a review work plan based on the results of the Annual Compliance Risk Assessment and Fair Lending Risk Assessment.
Manage test schedules to ensure all tasks and reporting are completed within established timeframes.
Supervise and conduct reviews to assure ongoing compliance with consumer federal regulations and industry guidance related to fair lending laws and UDAAP.
Develop assessment work programs establishing the procedures to be followed to conduct the review that are tailored to the applicable compliance policies and procedures.
Research regulatory law, recent or proposed changes, guidance and interpretations as part of the compliance review planning process to identify additional areas where value can be added.
Maintain the assessment programs updated with the latest regulatory and procedural changes.
Comply with the established work paper standards as to documentation of findings.
Conduct risk:based fair lending transaction testing.
Revise and write compliance assessment reports for senior and executive management that summarizes the scope of work performed, findings, and any regulatory exceptions.
Follow up on the report response from the unit manager, review the report response for completeness and accuracy and follow up on those findings that were referred to the units reviewed.
Ability to understand and interpret various laws, regulations, policies, and industry guidance.
Ability knowledge of regulations to numerous types of activities and operational arrangements in addition to interpreting the effect of new regulations on these activities
Minimum Education 13;
Bachelors Degree
Masters Degree in Business Administration or related fields
Experience 13;
At least three
years related experience in compliance, legal, consulting, and/or project management functions, preferably in the banking industry.
