What you will do Responsible for designing, developing, overseeing consultants and subcontractors, managing and maintaining electrical equipment and control systems, machinery and processes of NFE San Juan terminal and truck loading station as the main assignment then oversee the small-scale projects and troubleshooting NFE plants in Puerto Rico. What success looks like Designing and developing control system for the terminal and small scale in Puerto Rico Testing, maintaining and modifying control systems Analyzing data and presenting findings in written reports Managing operations during construction Working collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers and other internal and external staff Liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors and relevant authorities (in Puerto Rico and US main land) Project management for the related SOW within cost and time constrained environments Understanding and ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards providing advice and consultancy support Assist in purchasing equipment and writing P.O.'s Writing computer software and test procedures for control systems Review and qualify proposals from vendors What you will bring Minimum of 20 years' experience in construction including managing people on site. With at least 10 years in Puerto Rico. The candidate will be based 100% of the time in San Juan Puerto Rico Occasional travel to Miami, NYC & other parts of the US or the Caribbean might be required This role will be 75% based on site with about 10% office based. Electrical and/or electronic engineering degree Solid knowledge of the below: Advanced process control (APC) Distributed control systems (DCS) Programmable logic controllers (PLC) Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) The ability to think methodically and to manage projects, subcontractors, budget, schedule and people on site Problem-solving skills Ability to work to deadlines and within budgets Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Negotiating, supervisory and leadership skills Complete knowledge of relevant legislation in Puerto Rico Sound mathematical, scientific and IT skills (including MS Office) Our commitment to diversity inclusion: New Fortress Energy promotes a diverse and inclusive workplace.
