May lead of team of primarily experienced Quality Assurance professionals or a team responsible for Quality Assurance for an organization of small size or scope. Sets tactical and operational plans in support of continuous quality improvement. Provides guidance in the implementation of Quality Assurance plans and procedures. Quality Manager Responsibilities and duties: The effective management of the facility Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight of compliance of products and processes used by the location internally (& possibly externally) in the production of aerospace products The facility leader in product and process compliance, ensuring safe and reliable products are produced. A key internal consultant to the leadership on all Quality matters. Develop & maintain the Quality plan and metrics Lead the preparation and execution of site and BU management reviews Manages audits for (Regulatory Agencies, Notified Bodies, and Internal Audits) Leads strategic Quality System initiatives. Responsible for establishing objectives, timelines and milestones Initiatives may include: Quality Improvement Plans (QIP), Quality Systems Harmonization projects, Quality processes simplification. Participate in the site and department strategic planning, metrics, and capacity planning Foster a high-performance culture through active leadership and create a strong sense of accountability within the department Daily interface with operations staff on Quality matters. Manages the daily activities of the functional Quality organization ensuring adequate resources are in place to support daily operations, cross training is happening to maximize the Quality staff. Drives quality active participation in daily tiered meetings The effective management of the facility Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight of compliance of products and processes used by the location internally in the production of aerospace products Manages Quality staff functions such as Quality Engineering and Outline Inspection Basic Qualifications: 10 years experience with BA/BS degree in Engineering or applicable field 7 years experience with MA/MS degree in Engineering or applicable field 2 years in a Quality role Bilingual- fluent in English and Spanish Preferred Qualifications: QMS - AS9100, EASA/FAA CFR Part 21 ACE/Lean/Six Sigma (Certification Preferred) Ability to make decisions that always protect product safety of products and services provided by the business Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills Education: BA/BS degree in Engineering or applicable field with 10 years experience MA/MS degree in Engineering or applicable field with 7 years experience Nothing matters more to Collins Aerospace than our strong ethical and safety commitments.
