In this dynamic environment , you will have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide.Role Overview This position supervises entry and intermediate professional level employees or team leaders of support employees in Scheduling, sets day-to-day goals, facilitates production planning activities, and revises production schedules. Reviews staffing tables and data from contract and confers with vendors regarding stock procurement. Primary Responsibilities: Supervises and monitors production process, identifies need for changes in production schedule due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, and collaborates with management, marketing, sales, production, or engineering in order to ensure timeliness of production. Maintains and provides documentation and information to account for delays, difficulties, or changes to cost estimates so that performance can be analyzed. Facilitates production planning activities to maximize the use of the organization's resources and meet established production specifications and schedules, including volume, cost, and waste targets while maintaining established quality standards. Hires, trains, evaluates, or discharges staff or resolves personnel grievances to ensure the effective deployment of human resources Reviews documents, such as master production schedules (MPS), work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities Compiles, reviews, and maintains data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents to assess supply needs. Confers with engineering, purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability to ensure smooth operations. Prepares and maintains records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued to ensure that operations activities are conducted in accordance with established standards, and to maintain a controlled flow of required materials. Plans and prepares manufacturing production schedules, assesses changes and improves processes as necessary. Tracks status of material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, and materials are available as needed. Prepares reports on works in progress. Coordinates material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials are timed to meet production requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, and other groups. Schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders. Review and maintain master production schedule (MPS). Basic Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline and minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
