The role: This position assists the Plant Manager in supporting New Fortress Energy (NFE) large and small-scale projects development and operations. Responsibilities include coordination with NFE project managers, small scale operations and logistics managers, contractors, and customs brokers in Puerto Rico to facilitate NFE development and operations. The role provides depth to NFE's expanding presence in Puerto Rico and requires the candidate to work effectively across the NFE team to optimize operations and logistics, reduce friction and facilitate materials movement. The ideal candidate is a flexible and disciplined self-starter, problem solver and independent thinker. They will require the ability to demonstrate sound judgment and apply common sense while working and providing solutions for the NFE team. Responsibilities: Assist the Plant Manager in his role to coordinate and monitor the daily transportation of Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) from NFE's San Juan terminal to customer facilities. These responsibilities include daily order acceptance from customers, scheduling with trucking companies for loading and transportation, and coordination with the terminal for forecasting purposes and production scheduling Establish relationships with and coordinate with customs brokers and transportation providers for the reception and transport of materials to final destinations Work with NFE project developers, project managers, terminal and plant operators and technical service providers to ensure critical parts are received and clear customs effectively and efficiently Ensures systemic problem issues are researched and corrective actions are put in place to avoid future recurrence Deliver outstanding customer service by responding swiftly and accurately to queries and concerns Notify specified NFE management of any emergencies that occur while LNG is in transit What you bring: Bachelor's degree, logistics or business focus preferred Requires flexibility and ability to maintain a professional demeanor when dealing with tight deadlines, sensitive service issues, and emergency situations Proven ability to effectively work independently and within a team Ability to work a non-standard work schedule in a 24x7 operation Excellent planning and organizational skills Analytical skills Our commitment to diversity inclusion: New Fortress Energy promotes a diverse and inclusive workplace.
