Under general supervision the Field Technician performs installation, maintenance, and repairs to a wide variety of Check Printing systems, Laser and Label Printers, Mailing Equipment, Forms Handling Equipment and to other related systems and equipment “ON/OFF-SITE” (at the customer’s locations) The Field Tech will also perform other related work as required responsibilities:
Install software and hardware including operating system and office applications
Perform basic software troubleshooting and diagnostics
Track and renew licenses for software and equipment
Respond to issues, explain risks, convey status to Management and Consultant
Responsible for providing computer hardware, software and network technical support to end-users,
Assists with setup and configuration of system hardware and software
Advance, total system-level troubleshoot, install, maintain, and perform service repair needs on designated equipment
Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner
Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction
Participate in sales opportunities such as demo’s, contract renewals and assist with promoting and implementing revenue programs.
Work as a member of the local team to provide efficient and cost-effective service delivery to all accounts with assigned area
Complete Preventative Maintenance and Field Modification Instruction
Willingness and/or ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs and to respond to after-hours emergency calls as required.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work in high stress and visibility environment.
High School, plus 2-4 years relevant experience or CompTIA/A+
May be asked to travel outside of their assigned region, as well.
Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License, and a satisfactory driving record, as conditions of initial (and continued) employment
