Software Quality Assurance Technician

IMPORTANT: Current residence must be in Puerto Rico. This is not a remote work.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
· Minimum of 1-year experience in Software Functional testing role, in creating test plan and executing test cases and with defect management.
· Proven working experience in theInformation Technology sector.
ESSENTIALS ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Accesses test environment provided by the IT operations team during release cycles and perform user acceptance testing for all tickets that are scheduled.
2. Works directly with our software development partners reporting test results as it pertains to the functionality and usability of applications to be delivered during release cycles.
3. Read Functional Spec documents or other documents to prepare test scenarios and test cases.
4. Executes User Acceptance Test Cases and Test Plans provided by business.
5. Track defects or bugs within testing plans.
6. Verifies that use cases accurately portray specific business needs.
7. Responsible for complete system and regression testing of SAP software.
8. Interface with users to extract functional needs and determine requirements for testing.
9. Execute test cases manually.
10. Document the test executions and defects.
TRAINING & EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or validation or QA or IT environment.
