Collins Aerospace Systems is searching for a Compliance Specialist to join our Mission Systems team in Puerto Rico. This position will report to the Mission Systems Compliance Leader and be a key contributor to the Supply Chain Compliance team. As the Mission Systems Compliance Specialist focused on the UPCO site, you will perform and lead audits/inspection reviews and assist with special projects of supply chain operations and activities to determine the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control, risk management and governance processes of the purchasing system. Additionally, the Compliance specialist will support the lead for all purchasing related audits by both internal and external customers. Primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: Generally works on some complex areas. Exercises independent judgment with some guidance in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Supports leads in monitoring changes in U.S. Government regulations and supports work to align site policies, procedures, work instructions and tools to ensure regulatory compliance at the sites. Assists in preparation of formal written reports and/or conduct oral briefings on audit related project and other related matters to leadership. Assists with implementing inspection requirements for site purchase orders to ensure team members are complying with processes and standard work, Mission System policy and procedures as well as Collins/UTC policies and procedures. Assist lead with external and government audit project related efforts. Support process improvement activity to include development of tools and solutions to improve business results, this may include development and deployment of training for the purchasing system requirements, process, and tools. Gain expertise in Supply Chain policies and procedures to support and assist/support in customer inquiries, reviews and audits of pricing information to include requests for purchasing data/reports – internal, external, third party, and government. Responsible for providing input to lead to support decisions on the adequacy and effectiveness of purchasing system process, risk and internal inspection control disciplines that could adversely impact Corporate and Stakeholder value. Develops and maintains strong working relationship with Corporate, Business Unit, and Shared Service leadership to ensure understanding and acceptance of audit issues impacting business risks and controls. May interface regularly with middle and senior level management (director and above). Frequently reviews work of others. Acts independently with some guidance to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. Participate in appropriate professional organizations including but not limited to the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) to stay abreast to the U.S. Government regulations and processes. Attends/participates in appropriate level external conference or seminar to network. Education and Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or Engineering is desirable, Master's Degree preferred Basic Qualifications: 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Audit or related experience Preferred Qualifications: Procurement and/or Compliance experience with a working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and legal/contract terms and conditions Self-motivated and a demonstrated record of accomplishments using process improvement tools Demonstrated data analysis capability and excellent written and oral communication skills are required Ability to work independently with some guidance on projects and assigned tasks as well as participate on cross-functional teams Proficiency with MS Office products, advanced proficiency with Excel Knowledge of SAP strongly preferred Ability to collaborate and influence with stakeholders Self-motivated with a high energy level Able to assist in the development and deployment training materials ACE Practitioner/Associate Certification, Lean or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certifications Nothing matters more to Collins Aerospace than our strong ethical and safety commitments.
