What Database Administration contributes to Cardinal Health Database Administration is responsible for operational support, managing system health, resource management and enforcing technology standards for physical databases on specific database technologies in the production environment. Data Administration is responsible for the administration and efficiency of data transactions, processes and audits. Uses knowledge of department processes, technologies and controls framework to initiate and/or complete routine data transactions and ensure data integrity. Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to follow established data-related processes and procedures. Creates new customer, employee or product accounts/records, validates data, and maintains databases. Operates within service level goals, objectives and compliance guidelines. Identifies data issues, assists in identifying root cause, and escalates as appropriate. Proposes process improvements to standard operating procedures. Accountabilities Data Administration Coordinator is responsible for the management Pharma, Medical and Consumer products information in system. Responsible from vendor and product creations, maintenance and audit process to ensure products and vendors are correctly set up in system. Demonstrates the ability to perform database troubleshooting of various types of issues, including performance, stability, and operational. Models/implements preventative and proactive monitoring in the database environment and provide it to application teams. Collaborates with projects teams and assists with design, execution, and implementation of projects requiring database deliverables. Develops capacity forecasts based on utilization of the database environment, including storage. Assists with the creation, implementation, and enforcement of enterprise standards around database technologies. Qualifications A minimum of an Associate Degree is required; in Pharmacy Technician field is preferred. A minimum of 2 years work experience in related field is required. Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point and Outlook) is required; Microsoft Excel intermediate level skills is required. Excellent customer service skills are required. Proficient in typing skills. Basic literacy and numeracy skills are required. Must have good spelling, punctuation and grammar skills. Fully Bilingual in English and Spanish verbal and written is required. Must have the ability to work independently, work in team, execute the same task for long periods of time, work under pressure and with tight deadlines. Good understanding of data confidentiality is required. Availability to work extended hours and in weekends as needed. In-depth knowledge in technical or specialty area. Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems independently. May modify process to resolve situations. Works independently within established procedures; may receive general guidance on new assignments. May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experience.
