Sr. Engineer Req : 18000D1Z_en Location: Guayama, PR US Job Category: Engineering Date Posted: 7/12/2018 6:27:33 PM Baxter International Description To develop the specifications necessary for the proper engineering and construction of new anesthetic projects and improvement of existing facilities. This position requires specialized experience and technical background due to the complexity on the assigned work. The results expected from the functions of this position are the construction of safe, reliable and cost effective production facilities in compliance with cGMP and EHSS regulations Essential Duties: Develop of Site Improvement and Capital Projects from concept to implementation. Preparation, control and management of projects budget. Execution of site projects on time and within approved budget. Control of department expenses at or below approved budget. Review and maintenance of site drawings and specifications. Maintain engineering documentation updated and in compliance with cGMP standards. Develop, reviews, revises and document relevant Technical Change Control, Standard Specification, Failure Analysis, FMAEAs and Qualification documents. Accountable for Safety and health of employees and loss control within the assigned projects. No lost workdays or serious/severe injuries. Control and protection of company assets. Technology Improvements and Continuous improvement recommendations of site operations and facilities is expected. Coordinate approval of work permits for assigned works. Design and implements process improvement projects for the manufacturing units and prepares relevant documentation changes. Provided technical support to the Production Department in particular, and other departments as required. Evaluate Engineering Requests with focus on continuous improvement of site operations and facilities. The engineer will use his/her Technical/Engineering knowledge to develop small designs and/or specify requirements for the design of Facilities/Process Improvements Projects in addition to organization and planning skills to direct multiple projects and assignments within required schedules. Knowledge of contract negotiations and procurement procedures is required. Good and proactive planning and coordination techniques are essential for this position. It is required to have good communication skills, written and spoken English skills Qualifications EDUCATION Essential: Position requires a Bs Degree in Engineering: Mechanical or Electrical Professional Engineer Desirable: Electrical Engineer with Power Distribution Concentration EXPERIENCE Essential: -Minimum of five (5) years in project engineering and/or construction and pharmaceutical manufacturing Desirable: -Power Distribution System work experience Instrumentation and Process Control System work experience Equal Employment Opportunity Baxter is an equal opportunity employer.
