Work at AEG Supervisor of Operation Puerto Rico Convention Center San Juan, PR Facilities & Maintenance Full Time PRCC2727 Job Summary The Event Setup & Housekeeping Supervisor will work closely with the Operation's and Event's managers and Setup & HK team, to set up an outstanding experience for our guests and Meeting Planners. The Supervisor of Operation will report to the Operation's Manager, and will supervise the set-up and housekeeping of the meeting rooms, ballrooms, exhibit halls, foyers and terrace. The Event Setup Supervisor will ensure equipment is in working order and properly installed, and that the Event Setup & HK Team has the tools and resources to be successful. This role interacts directly with assigned crew members responsible for planning, organizing and directing Set up & HK activities to ensure safe, smooth and efficient operations and providing the most exceptional leadership and customer service as possible Essential Duties Plans and administers activities of the associates to ensure continuous operations and timely delivery of services. Establishes priorities, assigns work, and monitors performance, quality and timeliness Assigns and re-assigns work based on workload and daily priorities. Training, supervising, and evaluating departmental personnel and service providers. Responsible in dividing and conquering requests with the team in the most efficient. Gives direction, motivation and guidance to the associates in order to accomplish established standards to meet or exceed customer satisfaction. Supervised third party service providers by enforcing the agreed upon scope of services within the various signed service agreements. Continuously review the departmental needs and recommend repairs, maintenance or special projects. Reviews Events calendar to ensure efficient staffing. Complies with safety regulations and ensure that all areas maintain clean and orderly. Required Qualifications A minimum education level of: Associate Degree in Hospitality, Customer Service or related field 3 years of related professional experience; minimum of 2 years' experience in hospitality or convention center setting; experience in a supervisory/management role Bilingual language fluency (English/Spanish) required. Experience supervising, leading, and mentoring teams. Knowledge of general building maintenance, including preventive maintenance and event/setup operations. Ability to maintain good business relations with guests, clients and service providers. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project), and the ability to learn required business systems. Ability to work independently and drive results. Must be able to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a high pressure environment. Must be available to work a varying schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must possess effective written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification; ability to operate a forklift. Ability to obtain and maintain Boom Crane Certification; ability to operate a boom crane. Ability to obtain and maintain heavy equipment license. Apply SDL2017
