SYS03504 Job Overview: Perform on-site analysis, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, installation, and repair of Macy's systems. Independently researches and resolves basic to moderately complex technical problems. Collaborate with other Macy's teams to resolve more complex problems. Initial assignments are designed to expand practical experience in applying systems analysis techniques and procedures. The incumbent will be responsible for customer satisfaction by building and maintaining key site contact relationships to better understand and respond to business needs. Coordinate and support the implementation of hardware and software installations. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Functions: Independently performs daily diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs to Macy's hardware and software and network infrastructure component. Maintains and is accountable for inventory of Macy's assets, equipment presentation and standard. Provide timely response and resolution to assigned tickets and work orders within designated service level agreement. Build and maintain positive customer relationship, communicates proactively with key customer management resources and ensures satisfaction of support services provided. Provide information and oversight to 3rd Party Vendors, and guidance to store management, on proper support and maintenance of equipment along with ensuring. Macy's wiring infrastructure standards are followed. Acquire and apply new knowledge and skills as needed to support POS, PC, RF, Communication and Macy's system. Travel independently within defined region routinely, or nationally as needed. Provide after hours and/or weekend on call support via telephone or site dispatch as needed. Provide holiday and other unscheduled support as business needs arise. Responsible for ensuring 3rd party vendors meet documented work requirements and results adhere to Macy's Technology expectations and guidelines. Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality. Qualifications: Education/Experience: Associate Degree (IT related field), Technical degree, or minimum two years of experience required. Bilingual - Spanish desired. Intermediate level knowledge of PC's, including a good understanding of full, the ability to use Windows Operating System, Windows Office products and communication software. Demonstrates intermediate level and understanding of underlying business processes and requirements. Demonstrates intermediate level of knowledge of related systems, interfaces and dependencies. Strong customer focus. Sense of urgency and flexible to changing circumstances and customer needs. Intermediate level understanding of full life cycle development, analytical, problem solving, multitasking and time management skills with consistent attention to detail. Intermediate level understanding of analytical tools. Intermediate level understanding of emerging technologies and systems development best practices. A Training recommended but not required. Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively share technical information and train and mentor less experienced or knowledgeable team members. Intermediate level of teamwork skills (communication, ability to share ideas and solutions for work challenges). Physical Demands: This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting, hearing, seeing, talking, climbing ladders/stairs, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crouching, bending from waist and knees, reaching above shoulders and overhead. The position also involves regular moving/pushing/pulling/carrying items up to 75 pounds and lifting items under 45 pounds from floor to waist. Involves use of hands and fingers for writing, typing on a keyboard and using a mouse. May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception and focus adjustment. Other Skills: Ability to effectively learn and use new programming concepts, tools, and methodology to support the needs of the business. Intermediate level leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels. Intermediate level conflict resolution, negotiation, and consensus building skills. Prioritize work load and problem tickets, responding with the appropriate urgency based on business impact. Independent decision making for troubleshooting and resolving issues in assigned sites, escalating to more senior team members and/or management as needed.
