Purpose
:Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set:up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
Responsibilities
:Observes and complies with all safety rules and regulations. This includes QSR and ISO Standards.
:Participates in the Material Review Board (MRB) decision process.
:Identifies and implements corrective actions for manufacturing related issues.
:Performs equipment setup and corrective, preventive and calibration maintenance as necessary.
:Installs and validates equipments and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following the established validation procedure.
:Evaluate operating data to conduct on:line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. May develop or revise documents and procedures.
:Certifies manufacturing associates in the production processes.
:Evaluates and orders necessary equipment, tools and fixtures.
Management Requirements
:Associate Degree + 6 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
:Equipment troubleshooting through Logic Ladder (PLC), electrical, pnuematic and hydraulic schematics.
:Injection and Micro Molding Experience (2+ years)
:PLC Intermediate Knowledge (Allen Bradley RS Logix 5000, Studio 5000, RS Logix500, Factory Talk 3+ Years)
:Automation Experience (3+ Years)
:Vision Inspection Experience (Intermediate)
:Medium Supervision Requirement
:Basic Electrical (Low Voltage) Knowledge and Safety

:Knowledge: Complete knowledge of the job. Applies thorough knowledge of advanced technical concepts and practices, and a complete understanding of product or systems fundamentals in a functional area, and working knowledge of other related disciplines.
:Cognitive Skills: Performs mostly non:routine technical assignments requiring basic interpretation of established procedures. Assists in the design, development, evaluation or modification of all area:specific equipment, materials, systems, and/or product. Assignments require broad judgment in troubleshooting proven processes as well as the ability to suggest alternatives.
:Supervision Received: Limited supervision. Receives no appreciable instruction on routine work and general instructions on new assignments.
:Consequence of Errors: Errors may be difficult to detect and would normally result in loss of customer business, material, or equipment to resolve.
:Contacts: Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments, and/or representing outside organizations. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function of the department or which may be of sensitive nature.
