Job Description Role: Technology Business Analyst Assignment: IT Location: Puerto Rico, with the possibility of working from home after six months of training Humana is seeking a Business Analyst that will collaborate with the business and IT partners in analyzing a problem within a business domain, and then documents the relevant domain information (business processes, business rules, business data model) and the functional and non-functional requirements for the proposed solution. They do this in the context of how the proposed solution will integrate with technology. Partner with business and IT to define business needs, document current and future state, and help translate those needs into solution requirements that can be implemented within a specified timeframe Verify and validate identified solution’s feasibility with development team and business Analyze and document the business domain information as needed to understand the problem and proposed solution Document business needs, including product scope and requirements documents, such as use cases, user stories, process flow charts, screen mock-ups, state transition diagrams, and acceptance criteria Validate and prioritize defects and enhancement requests from business partners Partner with the Business Consultant for real-time mentoring Role Essentials Knowledge of: Systems Development Life Cycle Waterfall and Agile Development Methodologies Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio Experience in problem analysis and process documentation Experience working in cross-functional, collaborative teams Must be able to read, understand and communicate in both English and Spanish Role Desirables Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field Company Description Humana Inc., headquartered in Louisville, Ky., is a leading health care company that offers a wide range of insurance products and health and wellness services that incorporate an integrated approach to lifelong well-being.
