Job Summary The Trade Marketing Supervisor (TMS) works with the Product Marketing Team, the Field Sales Team and Distributors, in managing Product and Brand-specific strategies and tactics that are linked back to customer growth The TTM will serve as the primary point of contact for the Field Sales team strategies, and will serve as the liaison between the Product Marketing team and Field Sales team for assigned product categories. Additionally, the TMS will work with Marketing & Finance to gain alignment and achievement of Brand profit, margin, revenue, and share targets while also monitoring market pricing to avoid and address potential Channel conflicts. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Support (50%) Manage Product/Brand Communication to/from Field Sales Manages a structured cross-functional communication process that provides factual timely and actionable cross-functional decisions and customer communication Supervise all trade marketing activities developed by distributors on stores Responsible for customer-specific insights to CCA-based Cross-Functional team during key steps in the New Product Development process Provides the Field Sales Team with the tools and information necessary to communicate to customers in a timely and actionable manner Attend key customer meetings as needed in order to support the Field Sales team, align customer and Spectrum Brands strategies and tactics, and facilitate the overall achievement of company's business goals regarding profit, margin, revenue and share Build customer relationships and knowledge to act as CCA-based customer resource/expert for cross-functional teams Brand Stewardship and Merchandising Innovation Own key initiatives such as the development of Annual Planning presentation templates, Best Practice sharing, etc. as needed 40% Office – 60% visiting distributors/stores Analytical (40%) Set and monitor 4P goals to ensure that plans and program implementation are in alignment with and achieve the company's business goals regarding profit, margin, revenue and share Additional Analytical Responsibilities Include: The Overseeing Of Comp Shops/Price Ladder Maintenance Having a working knowledge of Market/ Consumer/Consumption Insights (Nielsen) Managerial (10%) May manage trade marketing Interns Education and Experience Profile BS/BA required (Business or related field a plus Minimum 3-5 years of Sales, Marketing, or Category Management experience at a peer CPG or related environment Required Skills Strong communication and written skills Intermediate to Advanced analytical abilities Strong presentation skills Ability to organize and manage multiple, time-sensitive projects Ability to work well in a team setting and with various levels within organization Strong working knowledge of Word & Outlook. High proficiency in PowerPoint & Excel required. Ability to know/learn order entry system (SAP) and be fluent in internal processes in a timely manner Syndicated Data: Proficient experience in using Nielsen, IRI, or similar market and household panel data Work Environment Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
