The Undergrad Coop will work closely with a multidisciplinary team at AML 6 multiproduct facility. The purpose of this project is to implement various equipment monitoring tools and downtime reduction initiatives that were the result of a detail equipment assessment from previous years. This task will include initiatives that will expose the candidate to several learning experiences like project management, learning and understanding of the functionality of new in process testing equipment and the use of innovation to generate new equipment monitoring tools. The project will also include working with the sustainability activities of AML6 Scrap Avoidance and Value Engineering (SAVE) program; this is Amgen's network first organized process equipment repair program with accounted scrap avoidance benefits. The Undergrad-COOP will apply the skills learned at the university in the pharmaceutical industry and learn new ones from hands on experience of work assignment. Key skills include but are not limited to: communication, planning, organization, problem solving, team-working, data monitoring etc. This role will work and/or support real projects under supervision and guidance of highly skilled professionals that will help student to gain practical experience in the pharmaceutical field.
