Job Description
VMWare Specialist experienced solving difficult and complex problems solving. Will be actively involved with other technical staff through explanation of facts, policies and practices. Communicates and influences project/team leaders within and outside of the job function at project/program regarding solution design, processes and/or approaches.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Three or more years’ experience in same or similar position
Support virtual Infrastructure comprising of VMware ESX
Create standard Virtual Machines and templates for VMware ESX, ESXi.
DNS, LDAP, DHCP, WINS, SQL Server, VMWare & Hyper V
VMWare ESXi, Windows 2003/2008/2012 Server (All Versions)
Create VM deployment templates and produce automated VM deployments.
Diagnose Virtual machine troubleshooting (VM) and performance issues.
Perform SME level incident resolution and root cause problem determination to ensure availability and stability of virtual platforms
Collaborate with server administration, network security, business application, and database administration groups to ensure availability of corporate systems to meet business demands.
Monitor and test systems’ performance and provide performance statistics and reports.
Ensure that scheduled jobs are executed as defined and perform manual job execution as needed.
Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in production systems across the organization.
Must have one or more certifications: VMware NSX(6.4); Products and Solutions Certifications; VCP-NV 2018, 2019 or 2020, VCAP-NV design deploy or both VMware Server/VSAN (6.5 and 6.7); Products and Solutions Certifications; VCP-DCV 2018, 2019 or 2020, VCAP-DCV design, deploy or both VMware VDI (Horizon 7.8-11); Products and Solutions Certifications; VCP-DTM 2018, 2019 or 2020, VCAP-DTM design, deploy or bot
